Notes: #55 (Nankōbō (南光坊)): No. 55 on the Shikoku pilgrimage. With its main building rebuilt after bombing during WWII, Nankobo is located amongst a cluster of six temples in and around Inabari, Ehime prefecture. Known as the “Temple of the Southern Lights”, elaborately gilded wooden “Nio” of four heavenly kings are enshrined at the temple gates.
