Guarded by Kongorikishi (金剛力士) deities, a lone pilgrim approaches the temple’s imposing 仁王門 Niomon Gate - the path flanked by lush greenery & ancient trees. A magnificent piece with beautifully soft “gomazuri” textures & colours of Ido Green, emphasising the enduring harmony between sacred spaces and the natural world.
