Notes: A wonderful print by Masao Ido depicting the main building of Dogo Onsen (道後温泉本館 (Dogo Onsen Honkan)); a historical three-storey bathhouse built in 1894 to what is thought to be the oldest hot spring in Japan! It is thought Dogo Onsen Honkan became one of the main inspirations to Yubaba’s bathhouse in Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli “Spirited Away”! Located in Matsuyama city, Shikoku, the bathhouse was designated an Important Cultural Property in 1994. A must visit!
