Series: 地球...そして今は (The Earth...and Now): a series of (10)(Edition of 50) prints produced between the years 1974-1975 following Yayanagi’s work on the 源氏物語 Tale of Genji. Yayanagi introduces juxtaposing references/imagery to modern culture & societal freedoms alongside his Pop-Uki imagery of the Earth, flaura/fauna, & sensual human forms. An interesting series perhaps marking Yayangi’s widening thoughts on both humanity’s place in the world & the deeper universe - themes explored in greater precedent in the years after.
