Go (Tsuyoshi) Yayanagi - 星 (Stars)
Title: 星 Stars. Ed. 94/95.
Series: 詩画集 (Poetry Art Book). 飛んだえんぴつ (Les Crayons Qui Volent/The Flying Pencil).
The Flying Pencils (飛んだえんぴつ): Published in 1982, Yayanagi worked on a collection of eight prints entitled “Les Crayons Qui Volent”/”The Flying Pencil” (edition of 95). The series was produced in line with a Poetry Art Book 詩画集 published by Children’s Poetry Magazine, Silo Association (サイロの会編). Eight poems written by elementary school pupils across Hokkaido’s Tokachi region were selected to accompany each of Yayanagi’s designs within the series. An additional sixty-two poems accompany the poetry book. A lovely succinct assembly of design themes central to Yayanagi’s oeuvre, and a fabulous example of both his close hometown relationship and active engagement with local community art projects.

たくさんの星や
星のブランコで
