Notes: A tremendous piece & arguably one of his most collectable works - Gihachiro Okuyama’s take on Vincent Van Gogh’s 1889 Self-Portrait. Throughout his life, Gihachiro Okuyama greatly admired the work of European post-impressionist master Vincent Van Gogh. Typically post 1954 - once he had established his own workshop, Okuyama Hanga Kobo, in Matsudo - Gihachiro Okuyama continued to create reproductions of influential and inspirational works under his own (woodblock) hand.
